It is essential to eat safe and nutritious food to keep the body healthy and active. There are different types of vegetables available throughout the year in our country. Since most of the vegetables are suitable for cultivation in the rabi or winter season, about 60% of the total production of vegetables is in this season. Vegetables are nutritious and tasty. 

It contains enough vitamins, essential mineral salts and antioxidants for the human body. A review of the nutritional value list of vegetables in Bangladesh shows that different types of vegetables provide different nutrients. Therefore, in order to ensure family nutrition and food security, it is necessary to cultivate safe vegetables as well as develop a safe diet based on different types of vegetables.
